OUR DESIGNER

Morteza Saifi first gained notoriety as a downtown New York fashion designer in the late Nineties by creating a buzz among fashion front liners for his artfully made creations and innovative fashion shows. Part of a wave of young talents that shifted the landscape of New York fashion, Saifi was recognized as an Avant-garde designer in Visionaries Fashion 2001. His collections were sold internationally, and his body of work was covered in numerous publications.

In early 2000 he transitioned his focus to shoe design, eventually gaining the position of Design Director for Vince Camuto's first Salon line, J Vincent. His responsibilities there led him to work with skilled technicians and to a better comprehension of the craft of shoe making.

As in his fashion line, his unconventional approach to shoe design, his passion for details, and his appreciation of luxury materials sets him apart from other designers.
